On October 18, Multiplan welcomed guests to celebrate BH Shopping 's 40th anniversary through a very special night. The company's and Belo Horizonte's first shopping center project, it transformed the consumption and entertainment models of the Minas Gerais public. To celebrate the success, tenants, local authorities and local personalities were invited to a cocktail party that featured an exclusive show by Sandra de Sá, Leo Jaime and Wilson Sideral, accompanied by the Opus Orchestra. Throughout the night, the mall honored partner tenants who had been with it right from the beginning of its history.
In 1979, BH Shopping, the most modern shopping center in Minas Gerais, was inaugurated, becoming a major milestone in the history of thestate capital and in the lives of state residents. After four decades, it remains a pioneer in the segment and invests in innovation, revitalization and distinguishing characteristics for consumers. The nearby highway cloverleaf served as a great inspiration for Multiplan's founder and CEO José Isaac Peres, becoming the Company's brand logo: the symbol has now represented 19 shopping centers in states such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Federal District and Alagoas.
To complete the celebration, BH Shopping created an interactive exhibition that recalled the most remarkable moments of its history and of the last four decades of Brazil's history, leading the audience to embark on a true time travel experience. In it, participants had contact with the apparel of each era, themed musical playlists and a special attraction based on augmented reality. The exhibition was on display until Oct. 20, and was also part of Minas Trend - considered the largest fashion business event in Latin America, sponsored by Multiplan.
